Peak Color At Palisades Kepler

Cool and crisp temperatures (lower 60s) on Saturday afternoon, October 12, 2013 provided beautiful foliage color along the main trail at Palisades Kepler State Park near Mount Vernon, Iowa. The beautiful sunny conditions accentuated the peak reds, oranges and yellows of the oaks and maples there. This image was captured at 3:35 PM CDT.
