Another July 4 Fireworks Image

Tuesday, July 9, 2019

This image was created from three separate exposures, blended together. I chose three images where the fireworks contained notable differences in color, spread and height, and dimmed down the street light (right center) to lessen eye distraction. Each exposure was imaged at f/11, ISO 100 and 16mm focal length. The three separate images include one at 9:47 pm (5 seconds), one at 9:55 pm (5 seconds), and one at 10:06 pm (13 seconds). Nikon D7200 DSLR with Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens. Image looks northwest at fireworks display on Mays Island seen from the east bank of the Cedar River at the Great America building in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Note the waxing crescent moon at left and the dark bank of clouds along the horizon in background.
