Blazing Start To Vacation

Just over an hour into our drive westward to our intended destination at Badlands National Park in South Dakota on Saturday morning, September 16, 2017, the sky became ablaze just before and at sunrise. Quickly pulling off US Highway 20 on Grundy Road, about 3.5 miles west of Cedar Falls, Iowa, I was able to capture the brief but brilliant display before rains came only minutes later.
