There was illumination in the sky

and on the ground Wednesday

evening around 5:15 PM, December

8, 2010 as a waxing crescent moon

shone over a row of houses decked

out with Christmas lights along

Brentwood Drive NE in Cedar Rapids,

Iowa. The setting moon is shown here

in the southwest sky. This capture

was shot at 1/6 second at f/5.3, 40mm
