Burning Skies

Recent massive wildfires in the states of Colorado and California have lofted smoke particles high into the atmosphere and winds have transported them east--over the skies of Iowa. These posted images of the resulting brilliant sunsets were captured from Echo Hill Presbyterian Church in Marion, Iowa on Wednesday evening, August 26, 2020. The above image was captured at 7:32 pm CDT and is a 1/400 second exposure at f/9, ISO 160 and 55mm focal length.
