Madeline Island Sunset

The sky and water of Lake Superior appeared as if on fire as the sun set in the western sky around 8:00 PM,  Monday, July 11, 2005. This image was captured from near Woods Manor on Madeline Island, Wisconsin. Also seen in the background is the last ferry of the day for the island, headed back to the town of Bayfield on the mainland.
