Two Conflicting Weather Conditions

If you think this is a shot of a completely clear night sky, look again. An isolated severe storm cell was producing a lightning show even though it was located about 65 miles to north. Photo was taken from just west of the grounds at Christ Community United Methodist Church in Marion, Iowa; the storm was located near the town of Monona, in northern Clayton County in northeast Iowa.
