Bonfire Night

Smoke and fire from a large bonfire rises into the clear night sky in rural Shueyville, Iowa just after 8:45 PM on August 21, 2010. Just above the house in the distant background is the bright planet Venus. Less conspicuous is the planet Mars, located just above and right of Venus.
